BEGINNER
​Students will learn the basics of guitar - from tuning, to playing chords and songs. The key fundamentals developed in our beginner sessions include:
​

Learning basic chords and several songs
​

Introduction to learning how music works, and how to read and follow a piece of music
​

Exercises to develop and grow finger dexterity
​

Basic guitar and equipment maintenance
​
INTERMEDIATE
Students will learn to improve upon the skills learned in our beginner level sessions. Key skills developed in our intermediate sessions include:

Continue to develop and improve playing ability
​

Mastery of the guitar fretboard, more complex music theory, songs and musical scales​
​

Learning to develop musical listening and recognition skills
​

Basics of 'soloing'
​

Introduction of left and right hand techniques - including the use of scales for students to create their own melodies and solos.
ADVANCED
At this level, students will focus on developing individual technique. Elements of focus include:

Technique development through the use of scales and scale fragments
​

Triads and Inversions​
​

Honing of soloing skills
​

Development of improvisational skills using pentatonic scales and modes over the entire neck of the guitar
​

Advanced music theory & guitar techniques such as Sweep Picking & Tapping
